| Guys Get Into Adult Biz |
[Dec. 18th, 2007|10:50 am] |
Guys wanting to get into this line of work may want to consider being behind the camera.
One tip I can give you is have a unique location other than a hotel suite or just another typical bedroom.
So last weekend I got a bug up my ass to scout out Blood Mountian in North Georgia to take advantageof nature.
After all it costs nothing and if you time your shooting just right you can get some spectacular lighting and avoid those fucking nature buffs.
Read here about what goes wrong if you dont plan out your trip beforehand! |

| This IS your daddys porn |
[Dec. 12th, 2007|10:46 am] |
One of the things you have to consider when you start working in this business is what you choose to tell your family.
I think this is a harder choice for women as there is a very negative stigma that is attached regardless if you work behind or in front of the camera.
My parents are pretty progressive thinking for a Southern family with roots in the bible belt and a Southern Baptist upbringing.
So there never was a choice for me even as a hobbist when I ran an adult BBS.
They always have known.
So this makes Christmas extra special for the males in my family each year as the request is always for PORN!
I guess my dad has become very popular with the guys in the family after I started giving him some of the promo DVDs I get.
He doesnt want any cool gadgets, clothing or anyting personal. He just wants a few DVDs.
Over the last few years this has become a problem as most of the studios do not give away promo copies as freely as they used to.
Plus Jack has gotten picky on what he likes to watch.

| A Pisser At the PlayBoy Mansion |
[Dec. 2nd, 2007|10:53 am] |
A recent trip to the Playboy Mansion was somewhat of a letdown. The high holy ground of all which is porn reminded me more of Graceland than it did of being ground zero for debauchery and sin. Like Graceland in Memphis the Playboy Mansion remains much as it was in it heyday…which was for all practical purposes in the 70s.

| 2007 Consluts.com BLT Party! |
[Aug. 14th, 2007|09:54 am] |
Alright folks, as you know we’re throwing the Official ConSluts.com launch party on Friday, Aug. 31 at the Atlanta Hyatt Regency and we’ve finally got some more details for ya.
First of all, this is a BLT party, which stands for Bikini, Lingerie, and Toga. With that in mind, yes, there is a dress code and we do plan to enforce it. Of course, anyone can rig up a toga in a just a couple of seconds from a hotel bed sheet. Also, guys, you are more than welcome to wear a bikini or lingerie, but if you prefer to be a bit more masculine, feel free to wear beachwear (trunks, Hawai’ian shirt, etc.) or sleep wear. I suggest going for the Hugh Hefner look, myself.
Doors will open at approximately 11pm and the festivities will run until around 3 am.
The agenda.... prizes ... and further details can be found at http://www.consluts.com . |

| Consluts.com Lauch party at DragonCon |
[Aug. 1st, 2007|12:19 pm] |
Greetings, The staff at Consluts.com is going to be throwing a party to celebrate the launch of our website.on Friday Aug. 31,
We should warn you that this is an adult oriented costume party, so no one under 18 will be permitted. Sorry, but we will be serving alcohol so we have to cover our ases. But, for those who can and hopefully will attend, we'll have some goofy contests where you can win some great naughty prizes and what not from some very well known companies (Adam & Eve for one)with one grand prize for one of the ladies.
This little gig may not be for everyone, admittedly, but if you revel in being impish or just an outright tease, well, you'll have a blast and be rewarded for it.
Oh yeah, Scooter will have some kind of free booze. Drink if you dare!
We'll be running things out of a panoramic suite in the Hyatt Regency. Obviously, we don't know the suite number yet, but we'll be posting it on ConSluts.com.
We'll also have some invite cards as we roam the Con passing out our pink rocket pins.
Now, there will be a few regs to keep in mind, but most are usual rules of engagement for a good party.
1: Respect the ladies or else. Simple as that. They are there for their own entertainment, not yours.
2: ID required. I know it can suck what with the costumes, but we have to cover our butts. Consluts.com will be covering this news event so as you enter you will be IDed and required to sign a release.
3: Men must be accompanied by a female. I know, it sounds lame and I'm sorry, but you know how things get. We don't want three women there being pawed on constantly by 50 guys. If we keep it at roughly 1:1, you can pretty much guarantee that everyone will have fun and there will always be less problems. The girls will tell ya, hordes of drunken men really suck donkey balls.
On the same note, we're not throwing this party to get laid.
4: If you can't hold yer booze, don't drink. You'll just fuck it up for everyone else. NO PUKERS!
5: Remember we're lucky to have such a nice suite to throw this in. Be respectful of the space.
6: Be sexy, be flirty, be fun, be drunk but be safe and watch out for each other. You watch our backs for trouble and we'll watch yours.

| Are You A Conslut? |
[Jun. 19th, 2007|02:46 am] |
Con·Slut (kŏn-slŭt) n.
A regular attendee of conventions, particularly those concentrating on the subjects of science fiction, comics, gaming, or fantasy. A regular convention attendee who is known to engage in acts of debauchery including but not limited to late night carousing, consumption of alcohol, and questionable liaisons. Whether you are a partier or just someone who makes it to a con every year, yes, you are a ConSlut. We all are or else we wouldn’t be signed up to this community.
I know there are a lot of us out there. For many of us, Dragon*Con is our yearly vacation. We see people we only get to see once or twice a year. We let our hair down in ways we’d never do at home. We work all year on our costumes.
So we created a site for us, the Con Sluts of the world. We’re almost ready to go to a full launch, but we need your help! We’re planning on launching before Dragon*Con and promoting before and during. Dragon*Con is kind of home for us after all. What we need from you is feedback and suggestions.
In order for this to be successful, we need to make sure we create what you want. In other words, your input here will basically help dictate the direction of the site. As it stands now, we’ll be offering community forums, image hosting so that you can share your con photos with friends, a video upload feature similar you that “Tube” site where you can share your goofy con videos, along with Con news and reviews.
What else do you want to see on a site like this? What would make you want to come back time and time again?
We're currently in the construction phases of the site, but you can have a look at the logo, post photos, and post away in the forums now. Feel free to have a look.

Thanks! |

| Party In Atlanta For Easter Weekend - Join the Bad Eggs!!! |
[Mar. 23rd, 2007|04:02 pm] |
Adult Industry Discussion Panels Back on the Road
Over the upcoming Easter holiday weekend, EyeOnAdult.com’s Senior Editor Scott McGowan and industry veterans Mike South (www.mikesouth.com) and Jim “GonZo” McAnally (www.oprano.com) will bring their brand of seminars on the adult entertainment industry to Atlanta, GA for the city’s popular adults-only arts convention, Frolicon.
Frolicon, in its second year of operation, bills itself as a science-fiction convention with a twist as the event caters more to those with an interest in erotic arts, BDSM, swinging, and other such subject matter intended strictly for patrons above 21 years of age. Those of all walks of life from all over the Southeastern United States attend the 4-day event to engage in general revelry (hence the name Frolicon), competitions, and educational programming.
“Frolicon is a natural fit for what we’re doing here,” said the panels’ creator and moderator, Scott McGowan. “This event is heavily attended by folks who are already dabbling in the adult industry in one form or another. Webcam models, fetish performers, photographers, erotic fiction writers, and consumers of various adult oriented products can all be found at this event. Not all of them do these things as a profession or even as a for-profit side business, but all of these people deserve practical and realistic information about all forms of erotic expression and that’s exactly what we’ll be bringing to the auditorium.”
For Mike South, an AVN Award winning director of adult videos and noted industry blogger, these panels serve as an opportunity to set the record straight. “I’m doing this to clear up the misconceptions people have about the business and particularly how to get into it,” South said. On the panels themselves, South will be concentrating on tech suggestions for photographers and webmasters as well as legal and personal concerns for adult workers.
Jim McAnally, the prolific webmaster heading up various free and membership adult websites tells us, “These panels will be insightful if you’re at all curious about the adult industry and invaluable if you’re looking to find an angle for profit.” McAnally will speaking on various topics including the basics of adult webmaster techniques and how commerce in the adult marketplace works.
Rounding out the panel’s guests will be Scott Jones of Electronic Frontiers Georgia (www.efga.org) who will be discussing non-commerce self-publishing issues along with Mandy Blake and Tony404, the team behind MandysPlayhouse.com.
The panels entitled, So, Ya Wanna Make Porn: An Introductory Tutorial and Adult Entertainment and Technology: A Lusty Liaison will take place on Friday, April 6 (Good Friday) and Saturday April 7, 2007 at the Atlanta Hilton Northeast. Pre-registration is currently closed but interested parties may purchase tickets on-site during event hours. Both panels are generously being sponsored by the adult networking website http://www.xpeeps.com. More information can be found at www.frolicon.com or by contacting Scott McGowan through EyeOnAdult.com’s contact page at www.eyeonadult.com/contact. |

| Sci Fi ConSluts and Porn Lords Rule Frolicon |
[Feb. 13th, 2007|03:56 am] |
Easter weekend will mark the 2nd occurance of the adult scifi convention called Frolicon to be held for all rotten eggs during that weekend.
If you enjoy Dragoncon but are looking for a little more of an adult time then this is the convention for you! Last years event featured scantilly clothed consluts , a full throttle dungeon and various freaky frolicing for the weekend.
This year is kicked up a couple of notches as we porn it up and do a little death rock.
A few of us porn lords will be presenting 2 seminars during the weekend.
Adult Entertainment and Technology: A Lusty Liaison As it pertains to new media and entertainment technology, there's no better proving ground than adult oriented products. This has especially been the case in the past thirty years when you consider the rise and fall of VHS to the proliferation of the Internet and beyond. However, this trend can easily be traced back almost 5 centuries. At this panel, you'll get a brief history of the relationship between adult entertainment and technology, an overview of current trends, and what to expect in the future. Whether you're involved in the adult industry or not, this is a must see for anyone interested in photography, videography, web design, e-commerce, or broadcasting.
If your interested in the history of porn and how its all related to the intenet and technolgy then this is the seminar for you.
I will be part of the illustrious panel and promoting one of my new websites www.businessofporn.com which features a timeline on the history of porn.
Later that weekend we tempt you to cross over to the dark side . . . you wanna be a porn lord?
So, Ya Wanna Make Porn: An Introductory Tutorial moderated by Eyeonadult.com reporter Scott McGowen
It's crossed all of our minds at least once, right? Whether you were flipping through a skin magazine, watching late-night cable television, or fast-forwarding to the "good parts" of an adult film, most of us have thought to ourselves, "I could do that." Maybe you want to shoot erotic photographs. Maybe you want to shoot sexy movies. Maybe you just want to show off your goods. Either way, there are a lot of things to consider before the first article of clothing hits the floor and accurate information is extremely hard to find. That's where this panel comes in. In this discussion you'll get an introductory crash course from experts with over 30 years of experience in adult entertainment that will be invaluable in your journey on the proverbial seas of sleaze. Topics addressed will include ethical/legal concerns, e-commerce, and content creation.
Be sure to save some energy though as we undulate into the dark hours with the Dark Lord of Goth Rock -- Anders Manga

| Porn Lords Invade DragonCon - R U READY??? |
[Aug. 10th, 2006|11:46 am] |
Adult industry observer and writer, Scott McGowan, will take a rare step over Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, GA, by acting as moderator for two adult industry discussion panels at the mainstream multimedia and popular arts convention, Dragon*Con.
McGowan, the renowned editor and chief writer of the adult news and commentary website EyeOnAdult.com, will set up shop for a two night stand to lead conversations about entertainment technology’s love affair with adult entertainment as well as the primary social concerns facing adult industry workers, particularly webmasters and models. Also on board as expert panelists for these discussions are AVN Award winning directorand industry blogger Mike South (www.mikesouth.com) along with Jim "GonZo" McAnally, a well known adult webmaster and owner of the adult industry think tank Oprano.com. Also making a very special appearance will be Atlanta model and businesswoman, Melissa Wolf, who is best known as one of Penthouse magazine’s most famous and prolific Penthouse Pets.
“I’m very, very excited about this,” said McGowan. “It’s a rare opportunity to be able to bring industry beginners and non-professionals into these discussions. Unfortunately, this is a group of people that are largely ignored by the adult entertainment’s establishment and it’s high time that changed.”
However, fans looking for titillation will likely be disappointed. As McGowan puts it, “This is about education. Our goal is for people to leave these discussions with a better understanding of how to create, market, buy, and sell erotica safely, ethically, and legally.
“These discussions could probably pass as ‘PG-13’ in terms of content. However, this will be a forum for adults about adult matters.”
Dragon*Con, an event which draws over 30,000 attendees per year, is best known for it’s focus on science fiction/fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, and music, but also features the technology driven Electronic Frontiers Forums track of programming under which McGowan and crew will conduct their panels. The track was started by a local grass-root activist organization, Electronic Frontiers Georgia (www.efga.org), which itself was inspired by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (www.eff.org), a national non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to issues concerning First Amendment, privacy, and intellectual property concerns as they pertain to modern technologies.
Scott Jones, director of Dragon*Con’s Electronic Frontiers Forum and 10-year member of Electronic Frontiers Georgia, said of McGowan’s adult entertainment themed panels, “While adult industry panels may seem out of place at a mainstream science fiction convention, both science fiction and the adult industry have faced their share of problems under the specter of censorship. One only has to look at the history of comic book censorship and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (cbldf.org) to understand that these issues are not new. We examine censorship issues in the adult industry knowing full well that if we fail to understand the issues and speak up, our newly beloved science fiction fan web site may be next on the censor's list.”
Scott McGowan, Mike South, Jim "GonZo" McAnally, and Melissa Wolf will take the stage on Friday, Sept. 1st in Atlanta’s Marriot Marquis Hotel at 8:30 pm for a panel entitled Walking the Line: Moral, Ethical, and Legal Concerns in Online Adult Entertainment. McGowan, South, and McAnally will return the following evening, Saturday, Sept. 2 at 10 pm to continue the discussion in the panel Adult Entertainment and Technology: A Lusty Liaison.
Both panels are being sponsored by adult video on demand mega-site MovieMonster.com and the over eighteen social networking website xPeeps.com. Both websites are owned and operated AEBN Inc. (www.aebn.net) of Charlotte, NC.
